Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is the deep manipulation of the muscles, tendons, and ligaments to reduce pain and dysfunction. Manual therapy will restore structural balance throughout the body lengthening tight tissue, and toning weak overstretched tissue. At the Center for Advanced Bodywork, we utilize manual therapy to restore range of motion, balance muscle groups around joints to decrease pain, and return soft tissue to its proper length and tone. Once muscular balance is achieved, we will also “re-educate” your nervous system to hold the muscular balance. We solidify results with a technique called neuromuscular re-education. This powerful therapy changes and improves the way your brain and nervous system communicate with your soft tissues, providing lasting results!

Manual therapy is helpful to individuals who suffer from an assortment of health conditions including pain, stiffness, muscle spasm, & headaches, as well as injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, whiplash, frozen shoulder, post surgical scarring, bad posture etc.

Additionally, manual therapy increases blood supply to skeletal muscles and other body components, and is also evidenced to stimulate the nervous system.

Overall, manual therapy is a noninvasive therapy that produces beneficial results to those experiencing numerous health-related illness and injury.
