Injuries at work can and do happen. If you are injured on the job, report it to the proper personnel within your company to start the process of filing a workers' compensation claim with your employer's insurance. If your employer has selected an authorized provider(s) they will either provide you with a list or direct you to their chosen provider. If your employer doesn't have an authorized provider(s) chosen, then you are free to choose your own authorized provider. In the state of Colorado authorized providers must be one of the following: medical doctor (MD), osteopathic doctor (DO), chiropractor (DC), dentist (DDS) or foot and ankle doctor (DPM). At the Center for Advanced Bodywork, Dr. Daniel Friedline is a Level I Accredited chiropractor, certified in the state of Colorado to treat workers' compensation injuries. Massage therapy for rehabilitative purposes and work injuries is also provided at our clinic by Joshua J. Crill, NCMMT. Our clinic has treated many work injuries including: wrist pain, foot pain, arm pain, rib pain, shoulder pain, low back pain, upper back pain and neck pain.
Important workers' compensation information you will need on 1st appointment: - Insurance Claim number

help your doctor to understand your work
How you can help improve the outcome of your care: Always tell your authorized doctor all that is wrong with you, no matter how small it may seem. If a small pain becomes something serious later and you mentioned it at the very beginning of treatment, you are in a much better position than if you hadn't. This applies to any new symptoms that occur after treatment has begun, in most cases a good doctor will always make sure to ask if there is anything new bothering you. If you're having stress or trouble coping with your injury, or if you are depressed, by all means, tell the doctor. Go to all your medical appointments and follow your doctor's directions carefully. Talk to your doctor to see if you can continue to work, even if you have some restrictions. Make sure you completely understand what you can and cannot do while you are recovering and comply with these restrictions, set by your doctor, at home and at work.
